Can Guinea Pigs Eat Zucchini?

How Much Zucchini Can Guinea Pigs Eat?
Make sure you have purchased organic zucchini if possible that is free of chemical fertilizers and pesticides that could be harmful to your guinea pig. Always throughly wash the zucchini before cutting it into small pieces and feed zucchini raw to your guinea pig, never cooked. If your guinea pig has never tried it before, start off with just a few small pieces.
If they don’t show any ill affects from the first few pieces, you can feed it again in a couple days. For most guinea pigs zucchini can in fact be part of a daily mixture of vegetables. If you want to feed zucchini daily, work up to that frequency so they can get used to it a little at a time.

The answer is yes, courgette is good for your guinea pigs to snack on. Courgette is part of the summer squash family and is actually just a less mature and a smaller version of zucchini. Courgette is about the size of a cigar which makes it a great size for slicing and feeding to your guinea pig. As the courgette matures it gets larger. At around 15-20 centimeters it is then referred to as a zucchini.
So whether it’s courgette or zucchini, your guinea pig can safely eat it and will probably welcome this addition to their daily diet.
